Mechanization of Anguish

The base of this piece is an amoebae-shaped textured black HDPE  board.  Rising from the base is a truck driveshaft that forms the arm rising up to palm and fingers sculpted from railroad spikes, holding a cracked-glass globe.  Inside the globe there is a medium-standard light base for an incandescent bulb.  At the base is an explosion-proof off/on switch and a touch-sphere for adjusting light level from bright for reading, to dim for mood-lighting.
