Unidentified Lighting Experience

The base of this piece is constructed of a large filter-chamber door attached to a farm tilling disk with rubber feet bolted on the bottom. Fitted in the base is a large gate valve which operates a dimmer.  Rising out of the other port on the base is an explosion-proof conduit box and union fitting attaching to a pipe which arches up to the lighting source.  A small explosion-proof connection box is set on the pipe end with an eye hook, from which hangs the lighting head.  This is constructed of an oil collection buoy used in the recovery of oil spills.  The buoy/light head contains two medium-base light sockets and has a two-inch band of frosted glass around its center.  The finish on the piece is Hammerite (black on base, deep cream on fittings, gold on buoy).   This light is well-fitted for mood or low-light environments.
