The Altar

This art deco piece was created as an altar for a wedding. The frame is made of square steel bar welded together with rolled steel bar for the pattern. The unit is in three pieces which connect with sturdy socket hinges, allowing for easy assembly and disassembly. The frame is backed with fabric-covered panels. The front is finished with a velvet-like green fabric called "seafoam green sealskin". The back is finished with a classic Victorian upholstery fabric in the same green tones. The metal is finished with a brown prismatic durable textured powder-coating.   Being finely finished on both sides the unit lends itself to many uses. As a room divider, a back-drop, or an event back ground.
